Better Business Thinking for a Noisy, AI-Shaped World

I write about how people search, decide, lead, and solve problems in modern business — combining practical experience, behavioural insight, AI search awareness, and clearer decision-making.

My perspective

I’m a managing director and business operator writing about AI, search behaviour, strategy, leadership, and decision-making from a practical, real-world perspective.

My background spans land and building surveying, facilities management, logistics, and service delivery. Earlier in my career, I also worked as a Search Engine Evaluator via Lionbridge in programmes supporting Google, assessing search relevance, user intent, and content quality.

My perspective is also shaped by more than 40 years of experience in structured teaching, public speaking, and mentoring across diverse audiences and cultures.

Over that time, I’ve delivered 1000’s of formal presentations in English, Finnish, and Chinese, to groups ranging from small teams to audiences of 600–700. That experience built a strong foundation in communicating complex ideas clearly, reading an audience, and adapting messages in real time.

Whilst working with a charity, I’ve also spent decades coaching and developing others — helping individuals improve how they think, communicate, and make decisions. Much of that work required self-direction, consistency, and the ability to stay effective without external structure; skills that translate directly into leadership, strategy, and execution.

Today, I focus on applying those principles to modern challenges: how people search, how they decide, how AI is changing both, and what that means for businesses and leaders.

This blog is where I share what works, what doesn’t, and how to think more clearly in a noisy, fast-moving environment.
